The León Band
Noble and determined, following the example of the rampant Lion on our crest, fearless and bold, our drive lies in always moving forward — head held high to the sky, never a step back!

In 1985, what began as a dream among students driven by a sense of belonging became the symbol of pride we now call The León Band. It was not born as a simple marching band, but as a living space where generations have grown, matured, and found their purpose.
Today, led by the first female Drum Major in the school's history, Sofía Cárdenas Cortés, the band embodies three non-negotiable pillars:
It is the voice of a community that walks with passion and purpose, faithful to a line from our school anthem that inspires us every day: "Head held high to the sky, never a step back."
Why be part of the León?
In the Marching Band of Gimnasio José Joaquín Casas, music is the vehicle, but the destination is personal excellence. Belonging to our band is not just about learning an instrument; it is about acquiring a set of life skills that set us apart both on and off the field.
Long live the Gimnasio, long live!
The gallant youth
that harbors within its chest
a pure heart;
whose spirit is not daunted
by the thought of struggles;
who carries on its lips
a triumphant song.
We teach our members to maintain composure, strength of character, and rhythm even in the most demanding challenges. Here, gallantry becomes the ability to push past limits with your head held high.
Are you ready to keep the pace?
Don't just watch history go by — become the protagonist of our legacy. We invite you to wear our uniform, feel the vibration of the instruments, and be part of this banner that represents the pride of every León student.
