Gimnasio José Joaquín Casas dressed in its finest to celebrate one of the most significant events in our institutional life: the Graduation Ceremony of the Class of 2025. More than just a diploma presentation, this day symbolized the closing of an unforgettable chapter and the beginning of a journey filled with new goals and horizons for our graduates.
On February 5, Gimnasio José Joaquín Casas enthusiastically joined the citywide Car-Free Day initiative, an event that transformed our school routine into a powerful tool for civic education, environmental care, and the promotion of physical activity.
The spirit of fraternity and healthy competition filled our campus during the First Houses Gathering 2026. The Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Omega Houses came together to officially and powerfully welcome a new year of challenges, making it clear that although we are four teams, we beat with one single heart: that of José Joaco.
Within the framework of our Final Flag-Raising Ceremony, held on November 14, 2025, the educational community of Gimnasio José Joaquín Casas experienced a moment of deep emotion and institutional significance. The General Director, Jaime Enrique Leal Melo, officially announced changes in the school’s leadership, marking the beginning of a new chapter in our history.
With great pride, we share that a delegation of 10 students from our school participated in the UdeA Mathematics Olympiad 2025, an academic event organized by the University of Antioquia and aimed at strengthening the logical-mathematical thinking of students from 4th to 11th grade from educational institutions across the country.
Last November 29, our educational community was filled with elegance and spirituality as we accompanied a group of our students in their first encounter with the Eucharist. The ceremony, marked by joy and reflection, represents a fundamental milestone in the holistic education we provide at our school, where academic growth always goes hand in hand with the strengthening of the spirit.
In an atmosphere of elegance, spirituality, and deep nostalgia, Gimnasio José Joaquín Casas celebrated the Thanksgiving Mass in honor of the 58th Graduating Class. It was a gala evening where the José Joaco family gathered to bless the path of the young students who are about to become citizens of the world.
